Informational purpose only
FernHub publishes publicly sourced data for general interest and research. It does not provide legal, immigration, financial, medical, or enrolment advice. Schools, zones, rolls, equity measures, ECE service details, fees, hours, and other fields change over time. Always confirm details directly with the school or service, and refer to official Ministry of Education and Education Counts sources before making decisions.
No warranty
We aim for accuracy but do not warrant that content is complete, current, or error-free. The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, FernHub and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, including indirect or consequential loss.
Third-party links and services
The site links to third-party websites (including government sites and Google Maps). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Map and search features are subject to third-party terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site - for example, by attempting to disrupt access, scrape content in a way that harms our hosting, or use the site for unlawful purposes.
Data accuracy and staleness
School and ECE service data is sourced from Ministry of Education public directories and is a snapshot at a point in time. Services may have closed, moved, changed hours, or changed fees since the directory was last updated. Home-based care profiles may include residential addresses and personal contact details of individual educators as published by the Ministry of Education; FernHub reproduces this data as supplied and recommends verifying all contact details directly with the service or its coordinating organisation.
Intellectual property
FernHub branding, layout, and original text and graphics are owned by FernHub or its licensors. Underlying school and ECE data is sourced from Ministry of Education open government data (NZGOAL); please refer to the original source for reuse conditions. ERO review reports are published under CC BY-NC-ND — FernHub links to them but does not reproduce or summarise them.
Changes
We may change these terms or the site at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
